Traveling. Moving. Wandering. From one place to another. New faces everyday. What are we here for? Where do we belong? Drawing on such existential questions and composed in the midst of the Swiss mountains, Nomad is a song that explores the lived experience of being a modern day nomad. die RUHE powerfully reminds us that we can be at home everywhere and reassures us that we have got everything we need. Always.

Alongside die RUHE’s original track, the EP comes with four outstanding remixes by Cigarra, Findingthings, Zacharias and Burn Rage.

die RUHE:

die //: [Article]: Article in German to describe the female.
RUHE //: [Noun]: Noun that does not exactly exist in English describing a combination of unshakableness, spare time, sobriety, recreation, peace, composure, silence, privacy, serenity and the absence of conflict.

Die RUHE is Techno with Live Vocals. Her name describes the irony of life since she is rather silent but pretty lively. The future - oriented musician combines what she loves the most: the variety of techno - based dance music - with what she is - her voice. As a live performer, singer, songwriter and producer die Ruhe weaves electronic rhythms with original lyrics and improvisations. Bridging the gap between analog and digital she collects field recordings from various occasions and works with several musicians to enrich her sound. On stage die RUHE serves an Ableton Live Set by telling stories from the dance-floor and beyond. Her wide range vocals alternate from spoken word over poetry to song between natural and FX. She mixes her own tracks with a carefully chosen selection of tracks from other artists that inspire her at each point in time. With this unconventional performance it is her pleasure to host a field where everybody is invited to become wild and free.
